Google account access
If it's your first time using an add-on, this probably looks pretty scary. Google only allows us access for the specific items listed in the prompt.
It's nice and secure. We ask Google for info, and they provide what you've allowed. We don't see your passwords and can't do anything nasty.
Signature add-on premissions
For Form creators and editors - who request signatures
The prompt when installing the add-on gives the following points:
- See, edit, create and delete your spreadsheets in Google Drive
This allows us to attach signatures to the Response Sheet. This is how we store signatures from Forms that accept Multiple Signatures
- View and manage forms that this application has been installed in
When you use the add-on in a form, we can make changes to that form. This is so we can add our signing field
- Connect to and external service
Our database is separate from the add-on, so this means we can communicate with that
- Allow this application to run when you are not present
When a form is signed, we put in a checker so the next time it's opened it gives you a warning not to make changes
- Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications
This lets us open up a sidebar inside Google's Forms page with the buttons you need to use the add-on
Other:
- We see your email address
We use email addresses as unique records. Your information is saved against your address
Signature log-in permissions
For signatories using the Google account method
The prompt gives the point:
- Connect to an external service
We connect to our database to provide you the correct signature
